Discover My Commitment to Education, Service, and Healing.

My mission is to combine my academic dedication and passion for helping others to build a career that promotes healing, empathy, and positive change in people’s lives. Through my commitment to education, leadership, and community service, I strive to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to provide compassionate, high-quality care as a future Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). I believe that true healing goes beyond medicine—it begins with understanding, patience, and kindness. My goal is to make every person I care for feel valued, safe, and supported during their most vulnerable moments. By continuing to learn, serve, and lead with integrity, I aim to inspire others to pursue their dreams and make a meaningful difference in the world.

When I first entered Booker T. Washington High School Magnet, I joined the law program because I knew I always wanted to help people. I admired how lawyers used their voices to stand up for others. Over time, I realized that was not the kind of profession I wanted to be in. My passion for helping others grew stronger when my cousin faced stage four brain cancer. I could only imagine how nurses and doctors played a vital role in his life. Even though nurses are often overlooked, they are there from the moment you walk into the hospital to the moment you leave. They have the most patient interaction and provide comfort, compassion, and strength in times of uncertainty. It amazes me how nurses can be so strong while caring for patients in their most critical and vulnerable states. Witnessing how they support and nurture others, even through pain and loss, inspired me to become a nurse. My lifelong goal is to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), enabling me to provide comfort and care to people when they need it most.

Even though my school focuses on law and the arts, I have always been drawn to science and healthcare. To prepare for college and my future in nursing, I have taken advanced science classes, including biology, anatomy, and chemistry. These courses have helped me develop strong study habits and a deep understanding of the human body. After graduation, I plan to attend college to earn my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and later continue my education to become a CRNA. I know the path to becoming a CRNA requires focus and determination, but I am committed to working hard to achieve that goal. My education will not just prepare me for a career. It will give me the knowledge and confidence to care for others with skill and compassion.

Through volunteering and helping at school and community events, I have learned that service is one of the most meaningful ways to connect with others. Whether I am assisting at a local event or offering a helping hand, I have seen how small acts of kindness can bring hope and inspiration. These experiences have strengthened my empathy and patience, qualities that will be essential in the nursing profession. Community service has reminded me that compassion can heal, encourage, and inspire. That is the kind of impact I want to make in my nursing career.
Being a student at Booker T. Washington High School Magnet has helped me grow both academically and personally. Participating in school clubs and activities has taught me valuable skills, including leadership, teamwork, and time management. Balancing my classes, extracurriculars, and personal goals has prepared me for the challenges of college and nursing school. Changing my career path from law to nursing helped me discover my true purpose. I want to be the kind of nurse who makes patients feel seen, safe, and valued, just like the ones who inspired me. Becoming a CRNA is not just my career goal; it is my calling to care for others with compassion, strength, and understanding.

My educational journey at Booker T. Washington High School Magnet has helped me become well-rounded and disciplined. I have learned to balance my time between advanced science classes, extracurricular activities, volunteering, and personal responsibilities. These experiences have strengthened my leadership, organization, and communication skills, which will continue to prepare me to succeed as a college student and in my future career as a nurse.

Being active in my community has helped me see how my actions can positively impact others. Volunteering at school events and local projects has taught me empathy, teamwork, and the importance of service. The skills I have gained through community involvement will help me become not only a successful college student but also a compassionate and skilled professional in the healthcare field. I plan to continue contributing to my community and making a difference in others' lives throughout my career.
